# Import a video from a post link

`POST /v1/media/imports`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://www.postquick.ai/api`
- URL: `https://www.postquick.ai/api/v1/media/imports`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Starts copying the video behind a public post into the user's media library. Returns a job at once; poll getMediaJob until it is `ready`, then use its `resultUrl`. Videos up to 500 MB and 30 minutes. Only import videos the user made or may use.

## Request body

- object
  - `url` string, uri, required: Link to a public post on X, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook or Pinterest.
  - `itemIndex` integer: Which item to import when the post has several, starting at 0.

## Response `201`

The import has started.

      - `resultUrl` string, nullable, required: The stored video, once `ready`. Use it as `videoUrl` in createVideo or createStory.

      - `width` number, nullable, required
      - `height` number, nullable, required
      - `sizeBytes` number, nullable, required
      - `error` string, nullable, required: Why the job failed, in words for the user.

## Other responses

- `403`: The user's storage is full.
- `422`: The link is not a post on a supported site.
