# Delete task.

`DELETE /api/v1/projects/{projectId}/tasks/{taskId}`

Permanently deletes a task and all its messages. Use this to remove sensitive tasks or clean up test data.

Warning: This action cannot be undone. All messages in the task will be permanently deleted from the user-facing API.

## Path parameters

- `projectId` integer, required
- `taskId` string, required

## Response `200`

Task deleted. It will no longer appear in GET /tasks results. This action cannot be undone.

- `401`: API Token is either missing or invalid
