# CancelUpgrade is a governance operation for cancelling a previously approved software upgrade.

`POST /cosmos.upgrade.v1beta1.Msg/CancelUpgrade`

## Request body

- CosmosUpgradeV1beta1MsgCancelUpgrade — MsgCancelUpgrade is the Msg/CancelUpgrade request type.
  - `authority` string — authority is the address that controls the module (defaults to x/gov unless overwritten).
