# Sei JSON-RPC, CometBFT and LCD

`POST /v1/sei`

## Request

Read-only access to Sei mainnet (pacific-1) on every surface a Sei node exposes: the EVM JSON-RPC methods, the CometBFT RPC (as JSON-RPC or GET routes such as /status and /block) and the Cosmos SDK LCD (GET /cosmos/... and /sei-protocol/...). Served by the Pocket Network decentralised supplier set. Pay per request in USDC; no account, no API key.

## Request body

- object: For the CometBFT JSON-RPC surface, the standard envelope (method, params) POSTed to the service root. For the GET routes, append the path to /v1/sei with its query string. LCD routes take the path parameters their templates name.
  - `method` string: CometBFT RPC method, e.g. block
  - `params` unknown

## Response `200`

The upstream response, served after payment settles.

- object: Depends on the route. A JSON-RPC call POSTed to the service root returns the JSON-RPC 2.0 envelope with `result` in the shape the CometBFT method defines (an object; block and status reads nest `block`, `sync_info` and so on). A GET on an LCD route returns that route's own JSON per the Cosmos SDK gRPC-gateway specification.

## Other responses

- `400`: Malformed request.
- `402`: Payment required. The x402 v2 terms are in the PAYMENT-REQUIRED header and, identically, in this body; sign the chosen option and retry with the PAYMENT-SIGNATURE header. The receipt arrives in PAYMENT-RESPONSE.
- `503`: This service is not currently available to serve.
