# Regenerate your API key

`POST /v1/account/rotate-key`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.planwire.io`
- URL: `https://api.planwire.io/v1/account/rotate-key`
- Auth: API key in header `X-API-Key`

Requires the current API key. Immediately invalidates it and returns the replacement once. Update every integration. Does not consume request credits. Contact support from your registered email if the response is lost; do not blindly retry.

## Response `200`

Replacement credential; response is not cacheable.

## Other responses

- `400`: Explicit confirmation is required.
- `401`: Missing or invalid API key.
- `409`: The key changed concurrently; authenticate again.
- `429`: Burst limit exceeded.
