# Remove user

`POST /user/remove`

This endpoint is used to remove a user and any relevant data related to the user based on the provided user token. 
Any subsequent calls to retrieve information using the same user token will result in an error stating the user does not exist.

## Request body

- UserRemoveRequest — UserRemoveRequest defines the request schema for `/user/remove`
  - `client_id` string — Your Plaid API `client_id`. The `client_id` is required and may be provided either in the `PLAID-CLIENT-ID` header or as part of a request body.
  - `secret` string — Your Plaid API `secret`. The `secret` is required and may be provided either in the `PLAID-SECRET` header or as part of a request body.
  - `user_token` string, required — The user token associated with the User data is being requested for.

## Response `200`

OK

- UserRemoveResponse — UserRemoveResponse defines the response schema for `/user/remove`
  - `request_id` string, required — A unique identifier for the request, which can be used for troubleshooting. This identifier, like all Plaid identifiers, is case sensitive.
