# Save a character or element

`POST /characters`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://pixeldojo.ai/api/v1`
- URL: `https://pixeldojo.ai/api/v1/characters`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Save a character (a person: 3 to 5 photos from different angles works best) or an element to Character Studio from image URLs. Every image passes the site's upload safety check before anything is stored.

## Request body

  - `kind` 'character' | 'product' | 'outfit' | 'location' | 'object' | 'style'
  - `name` string, required
  - `description` string
  - `image_urls` string[]

## Response `201`

Saved; `mention` is the @Name to use in prompts.

## Other responses

- `400`: Validation error
- `401`: Unauthorized
