# Update presentation variables

`POST /api/v1/presentations/update-variables-jobs`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.pitch.com`
- URL: `https://api.pitch.com/api/v1/presentations/update-variables-jobs`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `X-API-KEY`
  - HTTP bearer

Update an existing presentation's variables.

## Request body

- object
  - `presentation_id` string, uuid, required: UUID of the presentation to update. Use search-presentations-by-title to find it.
  - `variables` object, required: Variable names mapped to their new string values, e.g. `{"customer_name": "ACME", "quarter": "Q3"}`. Only the variables present here are updated; any variable omitted keeps its current value. Every name must be a text variable the presentation defines, otherwise the call is rejected. Must be a non-empty map.
