# Create folder

`POST /api/v1/folders`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.pitch.com`
- URL: `https://api.pitch.com/api/v1/folders`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `X-API-KEY`
  - HTTP bearer

Create a folder in a teamspace or in the caller's private space, at the top level or inside another folder.

## Request body

- object
  - `name` string, required: Name of the new folder.
  - `teamspace_id` string, uuid, nullable: UUID of the teamspace to create the folder in. When omitted, the folder is created in the caller's private space.
  - `parent_id` string, uuid, nullable: UUID of the folder to create the new folder in. Must be a folder in the target teamspace (or in the caller's private space when no teamspace is given). When omitted, the folder is created at the top level.
