# Create marketplace V3

`POST /v3/marketplaces`

This endpoint creates a new marketplace.
This endpoint generates a <a href="https://developers.pismo.io/events/docs/marketplace-marketplace-created-2">Marketplace created</a> event.

## Request body

- CreateMarketplaceRequest: Request payload for creating a new marketplace
  - `brand_name` string, required: Marketplace brand name. A secondary name for the marketplace that is **not** the legal registered name
  - `document_number` string, required: Marketplace document number. This is the government document code, such as a government-issued tax ID
  - `marketplace_name` string, required: Registered, legal marketplace name
  - `registration` string: Municipal registration number. In some countries the municipal registration is called a business license
  - `registration2` string: Additional municipal registration number. In some countries, two munipal registration numbers are required — one for the country and another for the state
  - `external_id` string: Marketplace ID used on client's system
  - `address` object: Marketplace address information
    - `number` integer: Numerical identifier for the specific location within a street or avenue
    - `street` string: Name of the street, avenue, or primary thoroughfare of the address
    - `complementary_address` string: Additional address details that help pinpoint the exact location, such as building, apartment, or floor
    - `neighborhood` string: Name of the neighborhood or administrative region where the address is located
    - `zip_code` string: Postal code. This is called a zip code in the United States, but you can use other types of postal codes
    - `city` string: Name of the city or municipality
    - `state` string: Abbreviation or full name of the state, province, or administrative division
    - `country` string: Full name of the country according to international standards or local registry
  - `contact` object: Contact information
    - `name` string: Contact name for the marketplace
    - `email` string: Marketplace contact email address. Its format must be a valid email address
    - `phone_number` string: Phone number. Dashes and parentheses are optional
    - `additional_phone_number` string: Additional phone number. Dashes and parentheses are optional

## Response `201`

Create marketplace

  - `id` integer: Marketplace ID

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad request
- `500`: Internal server error
