# Get current statement

`GET /statements/v1/accounts/{accountId}/next`

## Request

Get the current statement by account ID. For more information about statements, refer to [Understanding statements](doc:understanding-statements).

**Note:** This endpoint requires an account token - an access token encoded with a Pismo account ID. Tokens can expire quickly, which can result in a **401 Unauthorized** message.

Success

- AccountNextResponse: Account current statement
  - `id` integer: Account ID
  - `cycle` integer: Cycle number. When an account is created, its first cycle is cycle number 1. This number is incremented for each successive cycle.
  - `due_date` string, date: Due date. Format = yyyy-mm-dd.
  - `best_transaction_date` string, date: Statement best transaction date. The first full day of a cycle. This always comes right after the last cycle closing date. Format = yyyy-mm-dd.
  - `minimum_payment_amount` number, float: Statement minimum payment

## Other responses

- `404`: Bad Request
- `500`: Internal Server Error
