# Detach overdraft product from account

`POST /v1/overdraft/accounts/{accountId}/detach`

Detach an overdraft product from a bank account.<br>
This endpoint generates an [Overdraft account detached](https://developers.pismo.io/events/docs/overdraft-product-account-detach-1) event.

- `accountId` integer, required

## Request body

- ProductAttachRequest
  - `product_id` string, uuid, required: Overdraft product ID
  - `metadata` object: Additional details about the overdraft product. The information must be in `key:value` pair format. For example, `name:<your_name>`.<br> `minLength` = `0` `maxLength` = `1024`<br> **Note**: This field must not be used to send Personally Identifiable Information (PII), Payment Card Industry (PCI) data, or any sensitive/regulated information. Metadata fields are intended for operational, non-sensitive data only. For sensitive data, use the specific parameters designed for that purpose.
