# Restructure a loan

`POST /v2/loans/{originalLoanId}/restructure`

## Request

Restructures an existing loan based on provided details.

## Path parameters

- `originalLoanId` string, uuid, required

## Headers

- `Idempotency-Key` string, uuid, required

## Request body

- object
  - `installment_plan_id` string, required: Installment plan ID
  - `loan_product_id` string, required: Loan product ID
  - `number_of_installments` integer, required: Number of installments

## Response `200`

Restructure request accepted. Processing is asynchronous, so the new loan is not returned. The original loan transitions to `RENEGOTIATED`; retrieve it and read its `restructure_loan_id` to obtain the new loan ID.

  - `tracking_id` string: Tracking ID for the asynchronous restructure processing. Matches the idempotency key sent in the request.

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid request.
- `500`: Internal Server Error
