# Disburse loan

`POST /v2/loans/{loanId}/disburse`

Disburse a loan.

## Path parameters

- `loanId` string, uuid, required

## Request body

- DisbursementV2Request
  - `disbursement_account` union, required
    - InternalDisburseAccountV2: Describes disbursement data for internal accounts, where the lender and beneficiary have accounts with the same entity
      - `account_id` integer, required: Account ID
      - `account_type` 'INTERNAL', required: Account type
    - ExternalDisburseAccountV2: Describes disbursement data for external accounts, where the disbursement will be made to an account at a different entity than the lender
      - `account_type` 'EXTERNAL', required: External account type
  - `disbursement_amount` number, double: Disbursement amount
  - `disbursement_date` string, date: Disbursement date. Format = YYYY-MM-DD.
  - `disbursement_id` string, uuid: Disbursement ID. Required if the number of loan disbursements is greater than 1.
  - `metadata` DisbursementV2Metadata: Additional disbursement information **Note**: This field must not be used to send Personally Identifiable Information (PII), Payment Card Industry (PCI) data, or any sensitive/regulated information. Metadata fields are intended for operational, non-sensitive data only. For sensitive data, use the specific parameters designed for that purpose. ## Response `202`

Disburse accepted.

  - `authorization_id` number, required: Authorization ID
  - `authorization_tracking_id` string, uuid: Authorization tracking ID
  - `disbursement_amount` number, double: Disbursement amount
  - `disbursement_id` string, uuid: Disbursement ID. Required if the number of loan disbursements is greater than 1.
  - `loan_id` string: Custom ID for the loan. Must consist of uppercase alphanumeric characters and underscores.

## Other responses

- `400`: A validation error occurred.
- `500`: Internal Server Error
