# Email a link to set a first password

`POST /userAccount/password/setup/email`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://app.pipeshub.com/api/v1`
- URL: `https://app.pipeshub.com/api/v1/userAccount/password/setup/email`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Sends the authenticated user a single-use link, to the email on their account, for setting a first password.
For users who have no password yet, for example those who signed in with Google. Users who already have one change it with `POST /userAccount/password/reset`.

- `400`: The user already has a password
- `401`: Invalid or expired access token
- `404`: The user no longer exists
- `429`: Too many requests
