# Validate MMS Message

`POST /messages/validate/mms`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.pinnacle.sh`
- URL: `https://api.pinnacle.sh/messages/validate/mms`
- Auth: API key in header `PINNACLE-API-KEY`

Validate MMS message content without sending it.

## Request body

- MMSContent: Message with text and/or media files from a phone number.
  - `mediaUrls` string[], required: URLs of media files in this message. <br> See [supported media types](https://app.pinnacle.sh/supported-file-types?type=MMS).
  - `text` string: Text content that accompanies the media files.

## Response `200`

Returns validation results.

- MMSValidationResponse
  - `segments` MmsValidationResponseSegments, required: Details about how the MMS content would be segmented for delivery.
    - `count` integer, required: Number of segments this message would be split into.
    - `unsupportedFiles` string[], required: List of unsupported media files included in the message. <br> This may be because the file is unreachable or not supported by the MMS protocol. See [supported file types](https://app.pinnacle.sh/supported-file-types?type=MMS).
    - `value` MmsValidationResponseSegmentsValueItems[], required: Message segments with its content breakdown.
      - `files` string[], required: Media file URLs that would be included in this segment.
      - `size` integer, required: Size of this segment in bytes.
      - `text` string, required: Text content in this segment.
  - `total` number, double, required: Total price of this message. Calculated by multiplying the number of segments by the unit cost.
  - `unit` number, double, required: Cost of each segment.

## Other responses

- `400`: Validation failed. The payload has missing required fields and/or invalid types. <br> See https://zod.dev/error-formatting for more information.
- `401`: The request lacks valid authentication credentials or the provided credentials are invalid. <br> Ensure you're including a valid API key in the request headers and that your account has the necessary permissions to access this endpoint.
- `403`: Your subscription does not include access to this feature. <br> This occurs when attempting to use functionality that requires a higher subscription tier. Please upgrade your subscription to access this feature.
- `500`: An unexpected error occurred on Pinnacle's servers while processing your request. <br> If this error persists, please contact support with the request details.
