# Create a business borrower

`POST /borrowers/business`

## Request

Creates a business borrower. Business borrowers must have a unique EIN.

## Request body

- BusinessBorrowerRequest
  - `address` Address
    - `line_1` string, required: A string of 1-256 characters
    - `line_2` string, nullable: A string of 1-256 characters
    - `city` string, required: A string of 1-30 characters
    - `state` string, required: 2-digit US state code (e.g. CA, IL, FL)
    - `zip` string, required: 5-digit US zip code
  - `beneficial_owners` BeneficialOwners[], nullable: An array of objects representing owners of the business and those who control the funds of the business. If no one owns more than 25% of the business, just the individual who has ultimate control of the funds must be included. A maximum of 5 objects can be added.

    - `phone` string, required: The person's 10-digit US phone number (e.g. 4152251000)
    - `email` string, required: The person's valid email address
    - `title` string, required: The person's title in the company (e.g. COO)
  - `business_name` string, required: Legal name of the business.
  - `business_type` 'corporation' | 'llc' | 'partnership' | 'sole_proprietorship', required
  - `dba_name` string, nullable: Doing-business-as name of the business
  - `ein` string, nullable: 9-digit IRS employee identification number of the business (e.g. 345543221)
  - `incorporation_date` string, nullable: Incorporation date of the business (YYYY-MM-DD)
  - `kyb_completion_date` string, nullable: Date kyb completed on the business (YYYY-MM-DD)
  - `state_of_incorporation` string, required: Required 2-digit US state code (e.g. CA, IL, FL, …)
  - `phone` string, nullable: The phone number of the business
