# Name a face

`PUT /v1/rekognition/faces/{faceId}`

## Request

- URL: `https://api.picsha.ai/v1/rekognition/faces/{faceId}`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Names a face and propagates the name to highly similar faces (>= 98% similarity) in the same organization. The face must belong to an asset of the caller's organization; otherwise 404. Every asset showing the face — including deduplicated copies of the same file — is re-synced.
