# Sync a single storage object into Pics.io

`POST /images/sync`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.pics.io`
- URL: `https://api.pics.io/images/sync`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Reconciles one storage object (by storageId) with Pics.io

## Request body

- object
  - `storageId` string, required: Storage object id to reconcile with Pics.io. For S3 this is the object ARN relative to bucket root without s3:// prefix and without bucket name ("folder/subfolder/file-to-sync.jpg").

## Response `200`

Ok

- object
  - `action` 'created' | 'updated' | 'unchanged' | 'notFound' | 'skipped', required
  - `asset` object: Present for created/updated/unchanged actions
  - `reason` string: Present for skipped actions (e.g. blacklistedExtension)
  - `storageId` string: Present for skipped actions

## Other responses

- `400`: Validation error
- `403`: Access denied
