# Create Fax for extension

`POST /v4/accounts/{voip_id}/extensions/{extension_id}/fax`

## Request

- Auth: HTTP bearer

The Create Fax API allows users to send a Fax for extension

## Path parameters

- `voip_id` integer, required
- `extension_id` integer, required

## Request body

- Fax
  - `to` string, required: Phone number to where the Fax was sent
  - `cover_text` string, nullable: Fax cover text
  - `extension` integer, required: ID of extension where the Fax is saved into.
  - `quality` 'low' | 'medium' | 'high': Fax quality must be one of: low, medium, high
  - `from` string, nullable: Phone number from where the Fax was sent
  - `from_name` string, nullable: The name / caller ID of the person who sent the Fax
  - `media` object[], required: Required if cover_text is not provided. Media contains array of objects: BASE64 encoded PDF data and filename. PDF data is required while filename is optional
    - `filename` string, nullable: Name of file to be uploaded
    - `data` string, required: BASE64 encoded PDF data
