# Replace Contact

`PUT /v4/accounts/{voip_id}/extensions/{extension_id}/contacts/{id}`

Update the info of a contact in the address book.

## Path parameters

- `voip_id` integer, required
- `extension_id` integer, required
- `id` integer, required

## Request body

- ExtensionContact
  - `first_name` string, nullable: First name or given name
  - `middle_name` string, nullable: Middle or second name
  - `last_name` string, nullable: Last name or surname
  - `nickname` string, nullable: Nickname, or a shortened informal version of the contact's name
  - `organization` string, nullable: Contact organization
  - `title` string, nullable: Contact title
  - `emails` object[], nullable: Array of Contact Email Objects
    - `type` 'primary' | 'alternate', nullable: Email type, one of: primary or alternate. Default is primary.
    - `email` string, required: Email address
  - `addresses` object[], nullable: Array of Contact Address Objects
    - `type` 'home' | 'business': Address type, one of: home or business. Default is home.
    - `street` string, nullable: House number and street name, including apartment, suite, etc.
    - `city` string, nullable: City
    - `state` string, nullable: State or province
    - `zip` string, nullable: Zip code or postal code
    - `country` string, nullable: Country name
  - `phone_numbers` object[], nullable: Array of Contact Phone Number Objects
    - `type` string, nullable: Type of phone number, must be one of: home, business, mobile, fax, pager. Default is home.
    - `number` unknown, required
    - `favorite` boolean, nullable: Favorite phone number
  - `notes` string, nullable: Notes
  - `group` object, nullable: Contact Group that this contact is filed under
    - `name` string, nullable: Group name
    - `id` integer, nullable: Group ID
