# Patch Device

`PATCH /v4/accounts/{voip_id}/devices/{id}`

Replace parameters on an individual device, only provided parameters will be replaced.

## Path parameters

- `voip_id` integer, required
- `id` integer, required

## Request body

- Device
  - `name` string, nullable — Device Name
  - `lines` object[], nullable — Array of Line Objects showing which extensions are attached to this device, and their assigned line numbers
    - `line` integer, required — Line number
    - `extension` object, required — Extensions object that this line number is mapped to
      - `id` integer, nullable — ID of the extension. This is the internal Phone.com ID, not the extension number callers may dial.
      - `extension` integer, nullable — Extension number that callers may dial. On POST, leaving this empty will result in an auto-generated value. On PUT, this field is required.
      - `name` string, nullable — User-supplied name for the extension. On POST, leaving this empty will result in an auto-generated value. On PUT, this field is required.
  - `code` integer, nullable — Device Code (available for special integrations only)
  - `address` object, nullable — Address associated with this device for 911 calls
    - `line_1` string, required — Address line 1
    - `line_2` string, required — Address line 2
    - `city` string, required — City
    - `province` string, required — Contact province
    - `postal_code` string, required — Contact postal code
    - `country` string, required — Country name
