# Register an OAuth client (RFC 7591)

`POST /oauth/register`

Dynamic Client Registration for MCP apps. Public clients (token_endpoint_auth_method none) with PKCE are the norm. Clients may instead use a Client ID Metadata Document URL as their client_id.

  - `token_endpoint_auth_method` 'none' | 'client_secret_post' | 'client_secret_basic'

## Response `201`

The registered client (client_id, and client_secret for confidential clients).

## Other responses

- `400`: invalid_redirect_uri or invalid_client_metadata.
