# Fill a form → a sealed PDF (1 credit; test keys free)

`POST /api/v1/engine/fill/{id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://philforms.com`

- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - API key in header `X-PDFPhile-Embed`

Body: values keyed by parameter name, plus optional `style` (Style) and `profile_id`. A live key spends 1 credit of the month (or a prepaid credit); a test key is free and watermarked.

Response headers: X-Document-Id (keep it — `?revise` and /verify use it), X-Credit-Cost (credits this call used), X-Is-Complete (true when every core field is filled), X-Fields-Missing (core fields left blank), X-Missing-Count, X-Fields-Filled, X-Computed, X-Quota-Used / X-Quota-Limit (credits this month), X-Profile-Filled, X-Revise-Of, X-Revise-Remaining, X-Replay-Of.

A repeat (exactly the same values and style on the same form, already filled by this account this Manila month) costs 0 and sends X-Replay-Of: the earlier document. It is allowed past a used-up quota and is as clean as the earlier PDF.

## Other responses

- `400`: A refused value — `issue` names the field, its printed label, a code and what was expected
- `401`: Missing/invalid key
- `402`: Monthly quota reached (prepaid forms are used first when there are any)
- `403`: Not on that team / embed session not allowed this form or profiles
- `404`: Unknown form, profile_id or revise document
- `409`: This revise is not free (the reason is in `error`; nothing charged), or a prepaid form was used by a parallel request — retry
- `429`: Too many distinct forms today, or the site's embed cap
