# Update your profile

`PATCH /me/profile`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.phaseo.app/v1`
- URL: `https://api.phaseo.app/v1/me/profile`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Changes your display name, default workspace (one you belong to) or whether your details are hidden on screen. Password, MFA and passkeys are managed in the browser only. OAuth token with settings:write required.

## Request body

- UserProfileUpdateRequest
  - `display_name` string
  - `default_workspace_id` string, nullable: A workspace you belong to, or null to clear.
  - `obfuscate_info` boolean

## Response `200`

Updated profile

- UserProfileResponse
  - `data` UserProfile, required
    - `user_id` string
    - `display_name` string, nullable
    - `default_workspace_id` string, nullable
    - `obfuscate_info` boolean: Whether your email and name are hidden on screen in the dashboard.

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid field
- `401`: Not an OAuth token, or the token is invalid or expired
- `403`: Token lacks settings:write, or the default workspace is not one of yours
