# Extract typed values

`POST /extractions`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.phaseo.app/v1`
- URL: `https://api.phaseo.app/v1/extractions`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Extracts text, numbers, dates, times, durations and typed lists from text or embedded images. Returns typed values and model-reported uncertainty. Estimates, forecasts, streaming and remote image URLs are not supported.

## Request body

- ExtractionRequest
  - `model` string, required: Model ID with the extraction.extract capability.
  - `input` string, required: Source text. May be empty when images are supplied.
  - `fields` object, required: Field names match ^[A-Za-z_][A-Za-z0-9_.-]{0,63}$.
  - `images` ExtractionImage[]: Embedded PNG, JPEG or WebP images; 4 MiB each and 8 MiB combined decoded.
    - `content_type` 'image/png' | 'image/jpeg' | 'image/webp', required
    - `base64` string, required: Base64-encoded image bytes, without a data URL prefix.
  - `reference_date` string, date: Explicit date context for incomplete dates.

  - `truncated` boolean, required: Whether the provider truncated source input.
  - `usage` ExtractionUsage, required
    - `input_tokens` integer, required: Provider-reported aggregate input tokens across all passes.
    - `output_tokens` 0, required
    - `total_tokens` integer, required
