# Public authentication for clients

`POST /auth/public_auth`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.app.perfectscale.io/public/v1`
- URL: `https://api.app.perfectscale.io/public/v1/auth/public_auth`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

This endpoint allows clients to authenticate using their client credentials.

## Request body

- object
  - `client_id` string, required: The client identifier issued to the client during the registration process.
  - `client_secret` string, required: The client secret issued to the client during the registration process.

## Response `200`

Authentication successful

- object
  - `access_token` string: Access token to be used for subsequent requests.
  - `expires_in` integer: The number of seconds the token will be valid.

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad request, client credentials are missing or incorrect.
- `401`: Unauthorized, client authentication failed.
- `500`: Internal server error
