# Create app

`POST /apps`

## Request

## Request body

- object
  - `name` string, required: 3-40 chars, lowercase, start with letter
  - `runtime` string, required
  - `framework` string

## Response `201`

App created

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid name or name blocked
- `403`: App limit reached or account suspended
- `409`: Name already taken
- `503`: Platform is in sunset read-only mode (at or past T-0). Mutating routes are frozen (`platform_read_only`); app/account delete is gated (`platform_delete_gated`) unless the dashboard password-reauth override is supplied.
