# Update an employee job profile

`PUT /employees/{employee_id}/job_profiles/{id}`

Updates an existing job profile assignment for an employee. You can change the assigned job profile and/or its effective date.

## Request body

  - `job_profile_id` integer: ID of the job profile to assign
  - `effective_on` string, date: Date from which the job profile assignment is effective
