# Send a GoCardless mandate email request

`POST /api/external/v2/gocardless_mandates/mail_requests`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://app.pennylane.com`
- URL: `https://app.pennylane.com/api/external/v2/gocardless_mandates/mail_requests`
- Auth: OAuth 2
  - Authorization code: `https://app.pennylane.com/oauth/authorize`
  - Token URL: `https://app.pennylane.com/oauth/oauth/token` scopes: `customer_mandates:all`

This endpoint allows you to send an email request for a GoCardless mandate to a recipient.

> This endpoint requires the following scope: `customer_mandates:all`

## Request body

- object
  - `customer_id` integer, required: Customer identifier
  - `email` object, required
    - `subject` string, nullable: Email subject line.
    - `body` string, nullable: Email body content.
    - `recipients` string[], required: Email recipient addresses

## Response `204`

Mail request successfully created

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad request
- `401`: Access token is missing or invalid
- `403`: Access to this resource forbidden
- `404`: The resource was not found
- `422`: Unprocessable content
