# Read the Looks style catalog

`GET /api/style-catalog`

## Request

Returns the opening preview when signed out. A valid browser session cookie reveals the complete catalog. Query parameters cannot increase signed-out access. Responses are private and not stored by shared caches; gallery images outside the preview independently require a session.

## Response `200`

Allowed styles, gallery items, image dimensions, totalStyles, and requiresLogin. Style id and gallery item styleId are immutable version UUIDs; each style also includes its permanent styleId UUID, kind and revision. The catalog contains display metadata, never private style recipes.
