# Start account deletion reauthentication

`GET /api/account/deletion-challenge`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.peelaway.io`
- URL: `https://api.peelaway.io/api/account/deletion-challenge`
- Auth: API key in cookie `better-auth.session_token`

Returns {challenge,expiresAt}. Keep the signed challenge, sign in again as the same user, then confirm deletion. API keys are not accepted.

## Response `200`

Signed challenge valid for fifteen minutes
