# Retrieve your balance and last transaction date

`GET /merchants/{merchantId}/balance`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://sandbox-payouts.peachpayments.com/api`
- URL: `https://sandbox-payouts.peachpayments.com/api/merchants/{merchantId}/balance`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Ensure that you have enough available balance before executing a create payout request.

## Path parameters

- `merchantId` string, required: A unique merchant ID provided by Peach Payments in hexadecimal format.

## Response `200`

The 200 response returns an object containing the current balance, the last recognised transaction date, and the currency.

- object: A response object containing the available balance, last transaction date, and currency.
  - `currency` 'ZAR': A three-letter currency code (ISO 4217). ZAR is supported for Tyme payouts.
  - `availableBalance` number: The available balance represented in the minor currency (that is, cents) where 32123 is 321.23 in the major currency.
  - `lastTransactionDate` string, date-time: The ISO-8601 timestamp of your last transaction.

## Other responses

- `400`: There was an error with the request. Please fix the request and try again.
- `401`: The request is not authenticated. Please re-authenticate and provide a new token.
- `403`: The request is not authorised. Please contact your business administrator.
- `404`: No last balance was found on your account.
