# Remove a workspace member

`DELETE /credits/members/{memberId}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.paywithlocus.com/api`
- URL: `https://api.paywithlocus.com/api/credits/members/{memberId}`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Requires owner or admin membership, members:manage, and recent MFA or passkey step-up. The current owner cannot be removed and a member cannot remove their own current membership.

- `X-Locus-Step-Up` string, password

## Response `204`

Member removed

## Other responses

- `403`: Missing authorization or step-up
- `404`: Member not found
- `409`: The current owner or acting member cannot be removed, or the member changed (for example became the owner) before this request completed
