# Create merchant invitation

`POST /api/isv/invitations`

## Request

Creates a new invitation for a merchant to join payware via this ISV. Returns an invitation link that the ISV must deliver to the merchant. No email is sent - the ISV distributes the link through their own channels (email, SMS, in-app, etc.). The invitation type is auto-detected: REGISTRATION for new merchants, AUTHORIZATION_ONLY for existing ones.

## Request body

- CreateInvitationRequest: Request to create a merchant invitation
  - `email` string, required: Merchant's email address. Determines invitation type: REGISTRATION for new emails, AUTHORIZATION_ONLY for existing merchants.
  - `phone` string: Merchant's phone number
  - `contactName` string: Merchant contact's first name
  - `contactSurname` string: Merchant contact's surname
  - `companyName` string: Company legal name
  - `vatId` string: VAT identification number
  - `registeredId` string: Company registration ID (e.g. EIK in Bulgaria). When jurisdictionCode is BG, this triggers auto-population from the Bulgarian commercial registry.
  - `street` string: Street address
  - `streetNumber` string: Street number
  - `zip` string: ZIP / postal code
  - `city` string: City
  - `legalFormId` integer: Legal form ID from reference data
  - `businessActivityId` integer: Business activity ID from reference data
  - `jurisdictionCode` string: ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 country code
  - `preferredLanguageCode` string: Preferred language for the invitation (ISO 639-1)

## Response `201`

Invitation created successfully

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid request data
- `401`: Unauthenticated - missing, malformed or expired credentials
- `403`: Forbidden - the caller is authenticated but not permitted (plan or capability gate, KYC state, or tenant scope)
- `409`: A pending invitation already exists for this email, or the merchant is already authorized by this ISV
- `429`: Too many requests - the caller exceeded its per-partner rate limit. Carries errorCode ERR_RATE_LIMIT_EXCEEDED and a Retry-After header, in seconds. The request was not processed, so the identical request is safe to retry once the window has passed.
