# Create a Child Merchant

`POST /v0/merchants/children`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.paymongo.com`

- Auth: HTTP basic

Use a live secret API key to initiate an onboarding of a child merchant on their behalf. This starts the onboarding process.

## Request body

  - `data` object
    - `attributes` object
      - `accepted_terms_and_conditions` boolean, required: Indicates whether the child merchant has accepted the terms and conditions. The value is true if accepted, otherwise false.
      - `features` string[], required: List of features available for the child merchant. Possible values are `payment_gateway`, `basic_wallet`, and `standard_wallet `.
      - `business` object
        - `trade_name` string, required: Trade name of the business.
        - `type` string: Registration type of the business. Possible values are `individual`, `sole_proprietor`, `partnership`, and `corporation`
