# Retrieve a payment intent

`GET /v1/payment_intents/{id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://orders-api.paymongo.com`
- URL: `https://orders-api.paymongo.com/v1/payment_intents/{id}`
- Auth: HTTP basic

Returns one payment intent. Served by core-api or payments-api depending on the organization's rollout, in the same response shape either way. This is the only way back to `next_action` once the attach response that carried it is lost.
