# Get user ID by email (internal)

`GET /v1/users`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://identity-api.paymongo.com`
- URL: `https://identity-api.paymongo.com/v1/users`
- Auth: API key in header `X-Internal-Api-Key`

Returns the user_id for a given email. Restricted to trusted internal origins.

## Query parameters

- `email` string, required

## Response `200`

OK

- object: Standard response containing data and its metadata if any
  - `data` UserGetUserByEmailResponseDTO
    - `user_id` string
  - `has_more` boolean

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad Request
- `403`: Forbidden
- `404`: Not Found
- `500`: Internal Server Error
