# Create disputes intake

`POST /disputes/intake/new`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.uat.paymentology.com/pty`
- URL: `https://api.uat.paymentology.com/pty/disputes/intake/new`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Creates a dispute intake and returns its unique identifier. The intake
is INITIALIZED, so the client can add disputes and then
explicitly start processing.

## Response `201`

Dispute Intake created.

- CreateDisputeIntakeResponse
  - `disputeIntakeUUID` string, uuid, required: Unique Identifier for the created dispute intake.
  - `status` 'INITIALIZED', required: Initial intake status; disputes can be added before processing starts.
  - `createdAt` string, date-time, required: Timestamp when the dispute intake was created.

## Other responses

- `400`: Validation failure. The response body contains one of the following codes: - MALFORMED_REQUEST: The request body is not valid JSON or cannot be parsed. - MISSING_REQUIRED_FIELD: A required field is missing or empty, such as cardIdentifier, dateFrom, dateTo, disputeUUID, or a required dispute field. - INVALID_FIELD_TYPE: A field has the wrong type, such as a string where a number or boolean is required. - INVALID_UUID_FORMAT: disputeUUID, or disputeIntakeUUID is not a valid UUID. - INVALID_ENUM_VALUE: A field contains an unsupported value, such as transactionSource or cardholderAcknowledgement. - INVALID_DATE_FORMAT: A date or date-time does not use the documented format. - INVALID_AMOUNT: A dispute amount is not a valid decimal, or minAmount is greater than maxAmount. - INVALID_FORM_CONTENT: Form content is malformed, contains invalid fields, or does not match the transaction source.
- `403`: Forbidden. The caller is authenticated but does not have permission to perform this operation.
- `500`: Unexpected server error.
