# Get Business Unit

`GET /compliance/v1/companies/{companyId}/businessUnits/{businessUnitId}`

**Summary Description**

This endpoint returns a specific  businessUnit for the companyId and businessUnitId

**Use Cases**

- Partner needs to confirm specific businessUnit details have been added into Paylocity for a given client

## Response `200`

Returns the business unit details

- PartnerBusinessUnitResponseDto: Business Unit response DTO for partner endpoints.
  - `businessUnitId` string, nullable: Business Unit ID associated with the business unit.
  - `businessUnitName` string, nullable: Business Unit name.
  - `isActive` boolean: A Boolean value indicating if the business unit is active.
  - `description` string, nullable: Description for the business unit.
  - `createdAt` string, date-time: Creation timestamp for the business unit.
  - `updatedAt` string, date-time: Last update timestamp for the business unit.

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad Request Error - Returns the details of the error
- `401`: Unauthorized
- `404`: Not Found - Business unit has not been found
- `415`: Unsupported Media Type - Returns the details of the error
