# Move a file into a folder

`POST /v1/files/{uploadId}/move`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.payaion.com`
- URL: `https://api.payaion.com/v1/files/{uploadId}/move`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `X-Aion-Key`
  - HTTP bearer

Re-files an upload. `folderId: null` moves it back to the storage root.
Nothing else changes: the share link, price, expiry and stored bytes are
untouched, and storage usage does not move.

## Path parameters

- `uploadId` string, required

## Request body

  - `folderId` string, nullable: Destination folder id, or null for the storage root

## Response `200`

File moved

## Other responses

- `401`: Invalid or missing credentials
- `403`: Scope denied or access forbidden
- `404`: Resource not found
- `422`: A field failed validation
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded
