# Import Faces Csv Endpoint

Import people from the CSV pasted or uploaded on the faces page.

``hiddenColumns`` names personFields columns the organiser chose to keep but
not show: a field this import creates for one is hidden from the faces table
and the sidebar. A field that already exists keeps its current visibility.

A photo URL is optional. A new person without one is created as a metadata-only
person and can be made recognisable by adding a reference photo later. Unknown
field names are created once before concurrent row work; a matching person's
flexible-field assignments are updated even in skip mode.
