# Assign Face Endpoint

Assign or rename a face/person based on 4 explicit scenarios:

- single_new:       only this face → create new person
- single_existing:  only this face → assign to existing person
- all_new:          rename this entire person to a new name
- all_existing:     merge this entire person into an existing person

  - `faceId` string, required
  - `newName` string, required
  - `renameMode` 'single_new' | 'single_existing' | 'all_new' | 'all_existing', required
  - `targetPersonId` string, nullable
