# Scan Existing Faces For Person Endpoint

`POST /scanExistingFacesForPerson`

Starts a background job to scan existing stored faces for matches to the given person.
Used after registering a new person (if checkbox enabled) or via manual "Search for duplicate faces" button.
Returns immediately; scan runs asynchronously.
