# Which drawn memories a search matched

`GET /v1/memory/map/search`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.patricia.app` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://api.patricia.app/v1/memory/map/search`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

The ids of the points to light up for a search, matched against the whole memory rather than the preview a point carries. Returns ids only: the caller already holds the map.

## Query parameters

- `q` string, required: Case-insensitive substring of a memory.

## Headers

- `X-Tenant-Id` string, nullable

## Response `200`

Successful Response

- MemoryMapMatches: Which drawn memories a search matched, as ids the open map already holds. The map is not re-sent and no memory text comes back: the client has both, and this answers the one question it cannot answer alone, because a point carries a preview while the search reads the whole memory.
  - `query` string, required: The search this answers, trimmed exactly as it was applied.
  - `ids` string[], required: Matching memory UUIDs, at most 5000 of them.
  - `total` integer, required: Every match the caller may see, even when more than `ids` carries.
  - `truncated` boolean, required: True when `total` is larger than the returned `ids`.

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad request
- `401`: Unauthorized
- `403`: Forbidden. Inspect response body `code` for the specific reason (for example: PERMISSION_DENIED, EMAIL_NOT_VERIFIED, TENANT_ACCESS_REQUIRED, ROLE_UNRESOLVED)
- `404`: Not found
- `422`: Validation error
