# Forget a lesson

`POST /v1/memory/lessons/{lesson_id}/forget`

## Request

- Auth: HTTP bearer

Retire a promoted lesson AND soft-delete its recallable memory row, so it leaves recall.

- `lesson_id` string, uuid, required

## Headers

- `X-Tenant-Id` string, nullable

## Response `200`

Successful Response

- ForgetResult: Outcome of a FORGET action (soft-delete a memory, or retire a lesson from recall).
  - `id` string, required
  - `forgotten` boolean
  - `retired_from_recall` boolean

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad request
- `401`: Unauthorized
- `403`: Forbidden. Inspect response body `code` for the specific reason (for example: PERMISSION_DENIED, EMAIL_NOT_VERIFIED, TENANT_ACCESS_REQUIRED, ROLE_UNRESOLVED)
- `404`: Not found
- `422`: Validation error
