# Edit a company fact

`PATCH /v1/memory/company-facts`

Update one whitelisted company/brand-profile field.

- CompanyFactUpdate: Edit one company-profile fact. ``key`` is a whitelisted brand-profile field.

Successful Response

- BeliefItem: One thing Patricia believes for this tenant, ready to render as a card.
  - `id` string, required: Opaque id: a memory/lesson UUID, or 'company:<field>' for a company fact.
  - `kind` string, required: One of 'memory' | 'lesson' | 'fact'.
  - `kind_code` string, nullable, required: Raw memory kind, or null for a company fact.
  - `kind_label` string, required: Friendly memory-kind label. Never a raw code.
  - `source` string, required: Provenance code (e.g. lesson_promoted, review, company_profile).
  - `source_label` string, required: Friendly provenance label, e.g. 'learned lesson'.
  - `group` string, required: Provenance family code.
  - `group_label` string, required: Friendly provenance-family label. Never a raw code.
  - `origin_title` string, nullable, required: Human name of the place the memory came from, when known.
  - `content` string, required
  - `created_at` string, date-time, nullable, required: When Patricia learned the item, or null when the source has no creation time.
  - `updated_at` string, date-time, nullable: The last write to the row. The Curator's 6-hourly decay sweep restamps this value. It is never a learn time and must never be labelled 'learned'.
  - `editable` boolean
  - `forgettable` boolean

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad request
- `401`: Unauthorized
- `403`: Forbidden. Inspect response body `code` for the specific reason (for example: PERMISSION_DENIED, EMAIL_NOT_VERIFIED, TENANT_ACCESS_REQUIRED, ROLE_UNRESOLVED)
- `404`: Not found
- `422`: Validation error
