# Invite a new member

`POST /v1/members/invite`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.patricia.app` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://api.patricia.app/v1/members/invite`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Send a workspace invitation email to the given address.

Creates a pending invitation and dispatches the invitation email.
Any existing pending invite for the same email in this tenant is
replaced (the old one is revoked, a new one is issued).

Returns the invitation record. The raw token is NOT included.

- `X-Tenant-Id` string, nullable

## Request body

- InviteBody: POST /members/invite request body.
  - `email` string, email, required
  - `role_code` string, required

## Response `200`

Successful Response

- InviteResponse: POST /members/invite response (never exposes the raw token).
  - `id` string, uuid, required
  - `email` string, required

  - `expires_at` string, required
