# Search PTAB proceedings by petitioner, patent owner, filing date or status

`GET /v1/ptab`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.patentdata.ai`
- URL: `https://api.patentdata.ai/v1/ptab`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `X-API-KEY`
  - HTTP bearer

Answers: which patents is this petitioner attacking, which of this owner's patents are being challenged, or what was filed after a date. `petitioner` / `patent_owner` accept an entity id (ent_...), a family id (fam_...) or a case-insensitive name fragment. At least one filter is required. Paginated newest filed first. Costs 1 unit per 100 rows.

## Query parameters

- `petitioner` string, nullable: Entity id or name fragment of the petitioner.
- `patent_owner` string, nullable: Entity id or name fragment of the patent owner.
- `filed_after` string, date, nullable: Only petitions filed strictly after this ISO date.
- `status` string, nullable: USPTO trialStatusCategory, e.g. 'Instituted', 'Terminated' (case-insensitive exact).
- `limit` integer: Page size. Each 100 rows returned costs 1 request unit.
- `cursor` string, nullable: Opaque cursor from a previous response's next_cursor. Omit for the first page.
