# One document search returned, as text with the url to cite

`GET /fetch`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://passage-data.com/api/v1`
- URL: `https://passage-data.com/api/v1/fetch`
- Auth: one of:
  - none
  - HTTP bearer
  - API key in header `x-api-key`

limits/<place>/<parameter>: every cited row for that parameter there (at most 60 in the text; `metadata.total` and the JSON pages the text names carry every one). species/<name>[/<place>]: what each species register says, and each register searched that is silent. place/<place>: instruments and parameters held. source/<instrument>: one instrument's edition and source. permit/<NPDES number>: one US NPDES permit's limits by outfall.

## Response `200`

The document; when no row is held, a document of what was searched with a `refused` block (rows.none_held, designations.none_held)

  - `id` string, required
  - `title` string, required
  - `text` string, required
  - `url` string, required
  - `metadata` object: type, place, parameter or species, total rows, and `json`: the same rows as JSON
  - `refused` object

## Other responses

- `400`: id.missing, id.malformed
- `404`: document.not_held, permit.not_held
